Welcome to the Kansas Chapter, National Association of Social Workers (KNASW) website. KNASW is the professional association representing the practice and profession of social work in Kansas. We are a membership organization working to serve our membership through member services, professional development and lobbying for the interests of social work and for the clients we serve. There are over 6000 social workers living and practicing in nearly all of the 105 counties of Kansas

The new requirement applies to social workers who were issued their social work license in 2009 or later. These social workers will be renewing their license for the first time, after January 1, 2011.  All social workers are encouraged to include safety training as part of their continuing education for licensure renewal.
